About the opportunity
The Customer and Stakeholder Engagement department is responsible for organisation-wide stakeholder engagement strategy and planning. Its remit includes leading stakeholder consultation to inform decision-making, building staff engagement capability, managing partnerships, sponsorship and events and overseeing Energy Safe's emergency management program.
The Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator supports these functions by coordinating activities across all areas of the department, with a particular focus on internal engagement and reporting.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist with establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with stakeholder groups including emergency management colleagues, regulated entities, community, key institutions and any other individuals or groups affected by or with an interest in Energy Safe's activities.
- Coordinate planning and delivery of a range of engagement activities including meetings, presentations, information sessions, webinars and Energy Safe staff involvement in stakeholder events and initiatives. This includes managing venue bookings, catering, accommodation and other travel arrangements.
- Contribute to the development of an improved stakeholder engagement Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting and Improvement (MERI) framework, and coordinate its ongoing implementation.
- Facilitate internal engagement to inform strategies and plans to ensure these resonate across the business and build internal understanding and support of team initiatives.
- Provide regular, consistent and effective communication and reporting including monthly reports to the Executive Leadership Team, tracking key performance indicators and project outcomes.
- Build and maintain stakeholder lists, prepare electronic direct mail messages, manage the consultation email inbox and document stakeholder insights to inform organisational decision-making.
- Other relevant duties as required.
To be successful, you'll have:
- Experience in supporting strategic partnerships, sponsorship agreements and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, coordinate projects and deliver high-quality outcomes within tight timeframes.
- Proven ability to produce high quality, accurate and effective written reports and communications materials for a range of audiences.
- Demonstrated capacity to proactively identify opportunities and risks, collaborating with team members to develop and implement effective responses.
- Demonstrated experience working within procurement policies and procedures that align with principles of accountability, scalability, probity and value for money.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a small team and independently, supporting staff across the organisation and contributing to continuous improvement and best practice in engagement.
- High level of adaptability, flexibility, and autonomy, with a proven ability to prioritise effectively and deliver outcomes against competing deadlines and milestone-driven timelines.
- Previous experience working within government or the public sector. (Desired)

- Engagement Institute (IAP2) credentials. (Desired)
