The Office of the Governor provides advice and support to the Governor of Victoria. It also supports constitutional and ceremonial duties, manages an extensive program of engagements and visits for the Governor throughout Victoria and overseas, and undertakes various works at Government House.
The Protocol and Program Team is responsible for the delivery of the official Government House program. The Team is responsible for policy, protocol and logistical matters as well as providing direct support to the Governor and the Official Secretary on a day-to-day basis.
The Speechwriter and Communications Adviser role sits within the Protocol and Program Team and is responsible for the drafting of keynote addresses, speeches and speaking points for use by the Governor of Victoria. The role, under the direction of the Senior Communications Adviser, is also responsible for providing and delivering on strategic communications advice across digital platforms.
