Abbotsford Primary School is a bilingual Chinese/English F-6 located in Abbotsford. The school opened in 1877 and is housed in a beautiful heritage building on Lithgow St, Abbotsford. The school has approximately 170 students across the seven year levels, and the curriculum is taught 50% in Chinese and 50% in English. The internationally recognised bilingual Chinese/English program began in the 1984 and is one of the most comprehensive in the world.
SC1 Development and delivery of a comprehensive speech pathology service and a capacity to work across all areas of the school with students who have moderate to severe language delays and concerns.
SC2 A sound knowledge of speech pathology techniques and the ability to develop, provide and evaluate speech pathology services and provide speech advice on appropriate intervention strategies.
SC3 Demonstrated ability to administer appropriate language assessment and provide advice to staff and families on program delivery and follow up.
SC4 Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively with a range of professionals, teachers and parents on service delivery and student based issues.

The Speech Pathologist will deliver a comprehensive speech pathology service that supports students, communication, language, and learning outcomes. Working within an inclusive education framework, the role will involve assessment, intervention, and collaborative planning with teachers, Education Support staff, and families to enhance student engagement and achievement.
The position will also provide specialist advice to leadership and staff regarding intervention strategies, adjustments, and Disability Inclusion processes, including contributing to support plans and profile meetings. The successful applicant will demonstrate initiative, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
