About the Role
This is an full-time ongoing Grade 2 Speech Pathologist position at the Royal Children's Hospital. You will be responsible for assessing and treating paediatric inpatients and outpatients with swallowing and/or communication difficulties across a range of clinical areas. This position is based in the acute team but also involves some developmental clinics. There are designated workload/clinical areas, but some caseload flexibility and cover are required within the team by all staff (with training and support as required). We are seeking people who are interested in working with children with swallowing and communication difficulties and are keen to upskill in areas if there are areas where they have less expertise. Please call to discuss the caseload in more detail. If you are interested but lack experience in some areas or are unsure if you meet criteria, please also call to discuss.
Classification for this position will range from VW1-VW4 Grade 2 Year 1 to Grade 2 Year 4 (FTE base salary per annum $90,235 - $103,374 plus superannuation). There is five weeks' annual leave and an additional salary allowance for relevant, completed post-graduate qualifications (i.e., beyond your speech pathology degree qualification).
