Role Purpose
The Speech Pathologist will work collaboratively with students, teachers, education support staff, families and relevant professionals to support students with speech, language, communication and related literacy needs.
The role will operate within the college¿s Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and contribute specialist expertise across universal, targeted and individual supports.
A key focus of the role will be supporting students to access learning, developing practical strategies for use within classrooms and building the confidence and capability of staff to respond effectively to communication and language needs.
Where appropriate and within the scope of the role, the Speech Pathologist may undertake limited observation or screening to inform their work with students and staff.
