About the role:
An exciting opportunity exists for a Specialist Senior Educator to join Victoria Police's People Development Command (PDC), managing the Education Support Services Unit. The Command plays a vital role in building the skills, capabilities and confidence of Victoria Police employees to lead and positively influence the community. Through the delivery of comprehensive training and ongoing development programs, PDC supports police officers, Protective Services Officers (PSOs), Police Custody Officers (PCOs) and Victorian Public Servants (VPS) from their initial induction through every stage of their career.
The Specialist Senior Educator manages the Education Support Services Unit, and together with a small team ensures that Victoria Police's curriculum is contemporary and fit for purpose. The unit leads continuous improvement activities, including program evaluations and training needs analyses, and makes updates to curriculum materials to ensure version control is maintained. The unit is in its infancy, and is seeking an experienced, motivated leader to drive a new Evaluation Framework.
The role reports to the Quality Education Divisional Manager. Situated within Quality Education Division, Education Support Services Unit sits alongside the Victoria Police Registered Training Organisation (RTO) which delivers nationally-recognised accredited training qualifications to Victoria Police employees. It is also adjacent to Digital Education, which designs and produces digital education training products.
