KSC 1 Demonstrated ability to lead the development and delivery and of professional learning for a range of stakeholders.
KSC 2 Demonstrated capability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships between people with disability, their parents/carers, other organisations or agencies and the wider community.
KSC 3 Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal with all members of the school leadership, allied health team, teachers and education support class staff including the capacity to use school and department reporting tools and procedures.
KSC 4 Demonstrated ability to model behaviours and attitudes consistent with the Department values. Demonstrated ability to support others to reflect on their practice and facilitate school-based professional learning.
KSC 5 Demonstrated experience and understanding of structure and processes within a Specialist School Setting.
This role will carry out several functions in collaboration with established school teams, leadership, allied health and classroom staff.
This role is not a classroom teaching position. It will require involvement in designing, implementing and monitoring evidence-based, person-centred plans to improve outcomes for our students.
Some key skills required are:
Candidates should have extensive knowledge and experience in the development and implementation of policy frameworks including governance, compliance and reporting requirements as well as highly developed stakeholder engagement skills.
Advanced Diploma in Disability is highly desirable along with experience and capability in Trauma-informed practice.

Sunbury and Macedon Ranges Specialist School is a dual campus p-12 school that supports students with a mild, moderate or profound intellectual disability. A number of students also have additional presentations such as ASD, ADHD, behavioural challenges, mobility or medical considerations. Students are supported through school wide evidence-based practices such as SWPBS, AAC and the Zones of Regulation.
