About the Role:
The Specialist Inspector, Plumbing is part of a small team of experienced inspectors who are focused on complex and/or specialised and/or priority cases.
The Specialist Inspections team is a multi-disciplinary team that collectively troubleshoots where the risk is high, and the need is greatest, to establish the BPC as a trusted regulator and to ensure practitioners deliver quality and compliant work that will protect consumers.
The Specialist Inspector, Plumbing will provide specialist support to internal teams and critical reviews and will support the BPC's response to the Government's 10-year Housing Policy Statement with a focus on Class 2 buildings.

About the BPC
The Building & Plumbing Commission (BPC) is Victoria's new regulator for building and plumbing.
It brings together the Victorian Building Authority (VBA), Domestic Building Dispute Resolution Victoria (DBDRV), and the domestic building insurance function of the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA) into one organisation.
Key functions related to building and plumbing regulation will come together under one roof, including registration, inspection and compliance, practitioner discipline, dispute resolution, and domestic building insurance. These services will now part of the BPC and will be fully integrated over the next 12 months.
