VIDA Health (Victorian Health Building Authority) is responsible for the rollout of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar health capital projects. We're delivering world-class health facilities across Victoria including new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care and mental health facilities. VIDA Health also provides technical support across engineering, property, asset management and environmental sustainability disciplines.
The Opportunity
The Specialist, Government Services and Advice, will lead high-quality advice and support across projects to drive the Victorian Government’s multi-billion-dollar health infrastructure program. Working across multiple divisions, you’ll collaborate with senior stakeholders, resolve complex issues, and provide expert, timely guidance. This role requires leadership, flexibility, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, strategic environment within VIDA Health’s Strategy and Governance Division.
Key aspects of the role include:
Review and ensure the quality of advice and submissions for senior leaders, applying sound judgement for accuracy, clarity, timeliness, and alignment, while providing feedback to improve consistency and impact.
Analyse high-priority issues, risks, and trends, providing constructive advice and leading the delivery of reports, briefs, and submissions on complex matters.
Proactively resolve issues, recommend strategies, and support senior leaders in informed decision-making for positive outcomes
We are looking for:
Experienced in providing strategic advice to senior leaders, identifying risks, analysing complex issues, and developing and implementing effective solutions in collaboration with stakeholders.
Strong written and verbal communicator, able to prepare clear, accurate, and timely advice for senior stakeholders, presenting complex information succinctly and in plain English for diverse audiences.
Deep knowledge of public administration and government decision-making, with a track record of providing clear, authoritative advice to senior leaders on complex, politically sensitive issues.
