The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking a Specialist Case Manager to provide a critical role at Corrections Victoria.
Specialist Case Managers (SCMs) are responsible for delivering high quality case management to a caseload of the highest priority sex offenders, under correctional supervision. SCMs will be responsible for ensuring that the nature of sex offender management aligns with best practice initiatives, including managing offenders in line with Corrections Victoria's Offender Management Framework.
The case management role will necessitate that SCMs demonstrate outstanding offender engagement and case management skills, including excellent motivational interaction interviewing techniques and establishment of relevant plans and reports.
In addition, it is expected that the SCM will possess excellent writing skills demonstrated through the ability to prepare Departmental and Ministerial briefings, general external correspondence and reports to key stakeholders. SCMs will also be responsible for the meticulous management of CCS offender files.
The position will be required to adhere to local or regional rostering arrangements and other staffing management practices as directed.
