About the role
The Software Development Technical Lead - Energy Software is a unique role to drive improvement and innovation within the Sustainability Victoria Energy Software Portfolio, includes the FirstRate5 (FR5) desktop application and the Whole of Home (WoH) online tool. FR5 and WoH is one of four tools in the Australian market that is accredited to provide Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme (NatHERS) energy rating assessments for new homes and homes undertaking significant renovations.
Working with the FR5 product team and external IT contractors to ensure the SV Portfolio of products are continuously improved to enhance customer experience, this role is more than just software development leadership, combining elements of software product management, architecture design, and being responsible for developing and implementing best practices, minimising development costs and mentoring junior team members.
About you
The role requires coding experience with .NET and/or Java, and web technologies such as JavaScript (Vue.JS) and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure). An understanding of NatHERS thermal modelling tools and Sitefinity CMS would be highly regarded. The candidate should be self-motivated, have strong communication skills, and be effective at leading a team.
