About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Social Worker to join Barwon Health's newly established Youth Prevention and Recovery Care (YPARC) service. This innovative 10-bed residential program provides recovery-oriented, trauma-informed mental health support for young people aged 16–25 years who require an alternative to hospital admission or a supported transition from inpatient care back into the community.
Working within a 24/7 therapeutic environment, the Social Worker will form part of a multidisciplinary team delivering individual, family and group-based interventions that promote functional recovery, independence, wellbeing and meaningful community connection. The role contributes to comprehensive assessment, care planning and recovery-focused support, helping young people build confidence, strengthen daily living skills and achieve their personal recovery goals.
