About the role
This is not a traditional communications role. We're looking for a social-first strategist and creator, who understands platforms, culture and audience behaviour, and knows how to turn that into content people genuinely engage with.
As Social Media Specialist, you'll lead VicHealth's presence across multiple platforms, developing multi-platform strategies, creating content, and using data and insights to improve performance.
You'll play a key role in shaping how VicHealth shows up in culture, turning health messages into shareable, relatable, impactful content that reaches and resonates with Victorians.
Working closely with the Social Marketing and Communications (SM&C) team, you'll lead and mentor Coordinators, drive best-practice social thinking across the organisation, and help embed a strong, future-focused social media capability.
About you
You live and breathe social. You understand what works (and what doesn't) and you know why. You're as comfortable analysing performance metrics as you are shooting and editing content on your phone.
