About the facility
Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.
About the role
This role plans, facilitates and leads the delivery of the training for the Vic 3 Service Area Aged Care Assessment team to ensure all required training is up to date and aligned to each staff member’s designated role within the team. This position requires the maintenance of up to date knowledge of all phases of the aged care assessment process (comprehensive and simple) including knowledge of the proposed changes to roles and responsibilities with the introduction of the new Aged Care Act on 1st November 2025. The role collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to build knowledge and capabilities of employees with clinical and non-clinical backgrounds to enhance performance and compliance with the new Aged Care Act.
