- No specific qualifications or experience needed. Full 3-month pre-service training program provided (which is paid from a base of $60,295 plus super). After training, enjoy an ongoing full-time role with a potential total salary of $80,931 plus super.

What you will do
As a sheriff's officer, you will enforce warrants and court orders issued by the courts. You will work in the community and deal directly with people who have not complied with debt-related matters.
This job can be tough and you will face some challenging and emotional situations. However, your specialist training will help you to stay calm, think clearly and respond appropriately.
You will:
- enforce court-issued warrants and orders in a fair and consistent way
- work face to face with members of the community in a range of situations
- assess each situation quickly and make sound decisions on the spot
- maintain professional boundaries while showing respect and empathy
- apply defined procedures and safety practices.

About you
You must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or hold Australian permanent residency. You need a current Victorian driver's licence, a first-aid certificate – or be willing to obtain one – and the ability to meet health and fitness benchmarks.
You should also have:
- a strong sense of fairness and integrity
- the confidence to be firm with people who may be resistant to meeting their legal obligations
- patience and empathy when dealing with Victorians from many backgrounds
- the ability to work in a team and follow defined procedures.
