The Role
Reporting to the Manager, Digital Experience and Engagement, the ServiceNow Specialist is responsible for the design, development and delivery of new solutions and enhancements to the department's ServiceNow platform. The role focuses on improving business outcomes and employee experience through effective platform configuration, automation and the application of best practice in digital service design.
You will work closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to translate requirements into secure, scalable and maintainable solutions, while contributing to continuous improvement, platform optimisation and the adoption of AI-enabled capabilities. This role is suited to a technically strong professional who can combine hands-on delivery with solution design and stakeholder engagement.
Main Accountabilities
The Team
This role sits within the Information Technology & Workplace Services (IT&WS) Branch in the Corporate Services Group.
IT&WS oversees the delivery of ICT-related investments and services to the department, ensuring systems are appropriately designed, governed and delivered. The branch provides end-user focused services and supports the organisation through effective technology solutions and service delivery.
About You
You bring demonstrated experience in designing, developing and implementing ServiceNow solutions, including ITSM and CSM modules, with a strong understanding of SDLC principles and Agile delivery practices. You are able to apply best practice to deliver secure, scalable and maintainable solutions, with experience or interest in automation and AI-enabled capabilities.
You are highly organised and able to manage competing priorities, delivering high-quality outcomes within agreed timeframes. You collaborate effectively across technical and business teams, contribute to shared objectives, and communicate complex technical concepts clearly to a range of stakeholders.
