The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking an experienced Service Desk Support Officer to provide a critical role within Technology Solutions and Data Security.

Technology Solutions and Data Security focuses on meeting the departments data and digital needs by providing responsive and sustainable services focused on supporting departmental outcomes.
Technology Solutions and Data Security explores and employs technology to enable the department's business to function via the use of modern, appropriate platforms, products and services. It supports enterprise-wide platforms and services including critical applications, networks, telecommunication, call centres, hosting, intranet/internet sites; delivers business and corporate funded project; and overseas the delivering of services provided by technology service providers such as Cenitex.
About the Role
The purpose of this role is to provide support for the provisioning of system and application support requests, the fulfilment of technology purchasing and provisioning of service activities that meets the needs of business customers.
The Service Desk Support Officer provides support for basic incident resolution and requests reported to the service desk. Responsibilities include initial assessment, logging of the ticket, triage, research, and resolution of basic incidents and requests regarding the use of application software products and/or infrastructure components. The Service Desk Support Officer is responsible for collecting information through customer conversation, accessing support tools and additional support staff (service resources) if needed
