About the role
We're looking for a Service Delivery Coordinator – Community Capability to lead community safety and preparedness across the region.
You will support the Manager Community Safety to deliver the Regional Community Safety Plan, with a strong focus on preparedness. You will lead the Community Preparedness Program and supervise the Community Development team to ensure consistent delivery. You will work closely with the Vegetation Management Coordinator to align programs and ensure they meet Regional and District plans, risk priorities and community safety outcomes.
You will build brigade and volunteer capability and support brigades to deliver community safety programs. Where needed, you will organise alternative delivery through groups, other brigades or community support. You will work with stakeholders to improve safety outcomes, bushfire risk reduction and provide clear local advice on risks and community needs.
You will plan service delivery with brigades, groups, councils and districts and support consistent planning processes. You will identify needs, address gaps and build capability. You will maintain stakeholder relationships, guide Community Education Coordinators and work with the Regional Vegetation Management Team to deliver integrated fire prevention outcomes.
You bring strong planning and coordination skills, sound business judgement and experience working with volunteers and stakeholders. You can deliver practical education programs.
