The Department of Education is responsible for leading the delivery of education and development services to children, young people and adults both directly through government schools and indirectly through the regulation and funding of early childhood services, non-government schools and training programs across Victoria.

The People Strategy and Operations Division is responsible for developing and maintaining the department's human resources policies and guidelines for the department's Victorian Public Service; managing the industrial environment; and providing strategic and authoritative advice and consultancy support to internal stakeholders, managers on human resources and employee relations matters.
About the Role
The Senior Workplace Relations Consultant leads the effective service delivery of HR services, systems and processes. The incumbent provides leadership and expert direction, fostering a culture of high performance through collaborative efforts. Their strategic insights drive innovation and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and best practices in HR management.
The HR Policy and Strategy (VPS) branch are seeking individuals who have experience in the provision of expert HR/IR advice and has strong stakeholder and customer management skills.
About you
You will possess strong conceptual and analytical skills, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills. In addition, you will be organised and able to work to often tight deadlines and with competing priorities. This is an excellent opportunity to utilise your current skills and experience and develop your career.
A tertiary qualification in a relevant field is desirable, but not essential.
