Agriculture Victoria is seeking a Senior Technical Specialist – Sheep and Beef networks to join its high-performing Meat and Wool Team and lead some of the state’s most influential industry programs. This includes the flagship BestWool/BestLamb initiative and Victoria’s delivery of Making More from Sheep, an extension program collaboration by Meat and Livestock Australia and Australian Wool Innovation. This high-profile role puts you at the centre of service innovation, industry collaboration and strategic program design for the Victorian sheep sector.
You will lead the development of contemporary, industry-backed extension models, manage complex multi-partner projects and bring together producers, researchers and service providers to ensure all programs are relevant, practical and forward-looking. You will build strong networks with key partners and investors, secure co-investment opportunities and drive continuous improvement across Victoria’s major sheep programs. This is a fixed term position available for a period of 12 Months. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
