THE ROLE
The Senior Technical Project Officer – PMSC Schedule of Rates will be accountable for the ongoing management and continuous improvement of the Schedule of Rates suite used by the Property Maintenance Services Contractors (PMSC) that complete maintenance and upgrade related building work on department owned properties.
As the Senior Project Officer, you will work closely with the Manager in the end-to-end management of a large and diverse suite of trade rates. To be able to do the role successfully the applicant requires a high level of technical aptitude with regards to the labour and material pricing of all elements of work within the building industry, as well as the interpersonal skills to facilitate ongoing engagement with a wide variety of stakeholders both internally and externally. Including but not limited to the builders/contractors completing work for the department, quantity surveyors, internal department staff at every level and external building industry experts, suppliers and manufacturers.
This role provides support to develop and implement new ways of working, including the development and maintenance of divisional guidance materials. The role requires a multi-skilled, responsive, and proactive individual able to prioritise tasks and be flexible to changing priorities.
