The Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) leads the delivery of justice services in Victoria, supporting the strategic objective of “building a high performing justice system”. The recruitment services unit is pivotal to its success.
Recruitment Services deliver a range of practical and innovative solutions to source and select the best front-line and leadership talent for our department. Our team is made up of passionate, quick-thinking individuals who come together in collaboration to deliver exceptional service.
The Prisons recruitment team manage pivotal roles across thirteen Correctional facilities. This includes the recently opened facility in Western Plains Correctional Centre and the courts system. The facilities offer integral services aimed at reducing reoffending and give people the skills to make the most of their lives when they return to the community.
The Senior Talent Partner provides expert advice and support across all talent related activities ranging from sourcing, screening, short-listing, interviewing, reference checking, offer management and outcome advice. Additionally, demonstrated capability in the design, implementation and training of best practice recruitment processes is required.
Pivotal to success in this role is the ability to listen to stakeholders and influence via regular consultation, the ability to meet delivery timelines, lead proactive attraction campaigns and future workforce planning, and the review of current and previous processes with a mindset of improvement and innovation, as well as ensuring all recruitment delivery aligns to departmental policies, procedures and values.
You will possess considerable recruitment knowledge and gravitas to respond to queries from senior staff members and the ability to provide sound and accurate advice to more junior members of Recruitment Services. You will use your operational understanding of the business to develop and deliver recruitment strategies that ensure selection of the most suitable applicants for Corrections Victoria.
About you

A qualification in Human Resources, Psych ology, Business or other relevant discipline is desirable.
