Planning and Land Services (PALS) delivers responsive, customer focussed, high quality planning, land administration and property services that support thriving places and connected communities.
Land Use Victoria (LUV), within PALS, is responsible for providing whole of Victorian Government leadership on land information, policy, assessment, and advice, to enable government to use its land more strategically. LUV is also responsible for managing the government's program for land administration and property information by providing innovative solutions for authoritative, comprehensive, and easily accessible services in land registration, property information, valuation, land surveying and geographic naming. LUV performs a range of statutory and non- statutory functions. LUV also provides surveying services for major government infrastructure projects, provides all government property valuations and is responsible for all council valuations.
The Office of the Head of Land Use Victoria works across LUV to provide policy and strategic advice and support to LUV groups on a range of matters. The Office manages the preparation of information required for the Minister, Secretary, Deputy Secretary and others in the Department, and beyond. The Office liaises with other sections of and other stakeholders to enable the successful delivery of a variety of complex projects.

About the Role
This is a 6-Month Fixed Term role.
The Senior Strategic Advisor is a key member of the Office providing advice to the Head of LUV and more broadly across LUV on complex and sensitive matters. The advisor will need to be able to respond, investigate and advise on a range of issues in a timely and effective manner. The role operates within a dynamic environment that requires an ability to exercise sound judgement, effectively liaise with key stakeholders and form strong relationships across the Division, the Group, the Department and wider government. In addition, the role will manage the provision of high-level advice to the LUV Executive on issues management, internal and external stakeholder engagement, strategy and transformational projects and activities.
