The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.

About the Role
The Senior Strategic Advisor plays a key role in shaping disability policy across the Department of Education. Working in a dynamic and high-profile policy environment, you will lead strategic projects that influence departmental priorities and contribute to major reforms supporting children and young people with disability.
This is an ongoing role that has responsibility for leading policy and program work across a range of priority areas, including:
You will lead complex policy projects from conception through to implementation, undertaking strategic analysis, developing policy options, preparing high-quality advice for senior executives and Ministers, and working collaboratively with stakeholders across government and the disability sector.
