The Senior Specialist Planning Officer is an exciting position giving you the opportunity to lead and contribute to priority forest and fire management works programs and bushfire recovery in the Grampians region. The position will work as part of a flexible and supportive team within a dynamic work environment. The role will suit someone with exceptional experience in forest and fire management planning and operations including knowledge of planning/legislative requirements, data management skills and GIS capabilities. In addition, strong, well-developed communication and collaboration skills will contribute to the success of this position.
The position will undertake tactical planning of complex, high-impact and high-risk forest and fire management works, including bushfire recovery and stabilisation, regeneration activities, Strategic Fuel Breaks and large-scale hazardous tree treatment.

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Grampians region with hybrid work arrangements available.
