About the Department
The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services.
The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres, operated by Early Learning Victoria.
About the Division
The Communications Division collaborates with key stakeholders to strategically shape and deliver communication and community engagement opportunities. The division is responsible for the delivery of communications on behalf of the department to support and improve Victoria's education system. The division support the Victorian Government priorities in early childhood development and school education. This includes engaging with the Department's workforce, supporting the implementation of policies and reforms, protecting, and strengthening the reputation of our education and communications support and advice to the Victorian Government.

Supporting early childhood and school education, the branch delivers campaigns and strategic communications solutions across Victoria. This role is in the early childhood branch.
About the role
The role requires an experienced Senior Social Media Advisor. The social media advisor will lead the establishment and growth of social media channels for Early Learning Victoria – an early learning and childcare provider operated by the Victorian Government.
