The Security and Emergency Management Group (SEMG) is responsible for management of the Court Security Officer (CSO) contract and other security functions. SEMG has responsibility for driving policy, procedures, compliance and maturation of emergency management and business continuity practices across CSV.

The Security and Emergency Management Group (SEMG) is responsible for providing authoritative and specialist security and emergency management services and advice to Victoria's courts and VCAT. SEMG works to ensure the security and safety of the people who work in and attend courts and tribunals and CSV's assets. SEMG is responsible for coordinating security and emergency management operations and business continuity practices, in line with legislative requirements, relevant standards and best practice
About the role:
The CSV SEMG are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Security Adviser to join our Security and Emergency Management Group at Court Services Victoria (CSV). The role is responsible for assisting the jurisdictions and built environment with specialist security advice, focused primarily on matters related to physical security infrastructure.
As the Senior Security Adviser, you will conduct security risk assessments of CSV sites within an existing framework to identify vulnerabilities, security gaps, and potential threats, providing consistent advice through the application of the CSV Physical Security Standards and Specifications. You will also contribute to the development and maintenance of foundational documents, underpinning CSV's physical security environment, promoting best practice requirements across jurisdictions and sites.
This role operates within a complex, demanding and sensitive environment where relationships are key. You will be required to engage regularly with service providers, jurisdiction representatives, other corporate areas and national and international court jurisdictions to address physical security matters in the court/tribunal context.
