The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer to provide a critical role at Emergency Management Victoria.
About the Business Unit
Emergency Management Victoria (EMV), within the Department of Justice and Community Safety, is responsible for the overall coordination of the emergency management system in Victoria. EMV drives the integration of policy, strategy, operational coordination, and planning across Victoria's emergency management sector, contributing to safer, more resilient communities.
EMV works closely with government and agencies across the emergency management portfolio. The organisation is led by the Deputy Secretary/ Chief Executive and Emergency Management Commissioner, Emergency Management Victoria and includes oversight of statutory entities and offices and the department's emergency management accountabilities.
About the Role
The Senior Salesforce Developer is a member of the Recovery Programs Coordination and Delivery Branch within EMV, leading the design and development of the Salesforce instance. The role reports directly to the Deputy Director, Recovery Program Coordination and Delivery.
Leading the technical delivery of EMV's Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution, you will achieve objectives by designing, building and maintaining a scalable, high-quality platform that directly enables service delivery and case management outcomes. Working as an embedded senior developer alongside the Salesforce Product Manager and Business Analyst, you will translate prioritised requirements into robust technical solutions, own the integrity and performance of the Salesforce environment, and engage with stakeholders to ensure technical decisions are clearly communicated and aligned to business needs. Drawing on the departmental Salesforce Centre of Excellence for specialist consultation where required, you will apply deep platform expertise and development best practice to continuously improve the CRM, ensuring it remains reliable, secure and fit for purpose as the organisation's needs evolve.
