About the Role
The Senior Safety Programs Officer is a position that sits in the Safety Programs Branch and reports into the Principal Officer, Safety Programs. As a member of the Programs team, the Senior Safety Programs Officer will design and deliver safety program and project activities, aligned with legislative functions and the corporate strategy.
The responsibilities of the Senior Safety Programs Officer will include, but are not limited to:
• Lead and support the planning, execution, and monitoring of efficient and effective safety programs ensuring activities are carried out in accordance with industry best practise and quality assurance standards.
• Develop and implement quality assurance processes and procedures for program activities, conducting regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance and the high-quality standards in program delivery.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on program performance, including key metrics, milestones, outcomes and in-depth data analysis to identify trends, areas for improvement, and potential risks.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including timely communication of program updates, milestones, and issues.
• Provide authoritative advice, and recommendations on identified risks, risk mitigation strategies to support continuous improvement initiatives and enhance program delivery processes and outcomes.
• Promote and support safe, inclusive and flexible team operations.

You are an outcomes focused individual with a strong interest in developing and leading the development of initiatives that support safe journeys every time for the Bus, CPV and Maritime industries. You value continuous improvement and have the ability to problem solve. Project delivery, policy design, communication and stakeholder engagement are your strengths. Working collaboratively across a multidisciplinary regulatory environment, you are a team player who fosters professional working relationships and embraces diversity.
