THE ROLE
Senior Restorative Engagement Officer
This position is an operational role that will lead a small team delivering the Direct Personal Response (DPR) service components of the National Redress Scheme for people who have experienced institutional child sexual abuse (NRS),
Working closely with people with lived and living experience and support services, the SREO will lead implementation and delivery of the DPR functions of the NRS. Additional key components of the role include contributing to the development and delivery of trauma informed processes and procedures to implement DPR services and deliver high quality services.
The position will be responsive to tasks, including the provision of advice and responses in a timely manner and will contribute to a variety of work priorities within the Redress and Lived Experience unit.
This position will work collaboratively with colleagues across the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (the department), support services, other government departments, senior executives and facilitators to provide trauma-informed support to participants who choose to engage in restorative engagement processes.
Candidates must reside in Victoria.
