THE ROLE
The Senior Registration Development Officer is a key regulatory role responsible for carrying out a range of activities relating to Victorian disability worker registration. The role reports to the Manager, Registration Operations and Development and contributes to the operation, development and ongoing improvement of processes and procedures for registration in accordance with the Disability Service Safeguards Act 2018.
The Senior Registration Development Officer leads a small team to expertly assess and process registration applications and provide authoritative registration advice, recommendations and reports to the Victorian Disability Worker Commissioner (Commissioner) and the Disability Worker Registration Board of Victoria (Board) to support the performance of their legislated functions. This involves research, consultation and expert analysis of data to identify trends and inform policy development to support effective, efficient administration of the Scheme.
The Senior Registration Development Officer also assists in promoting disability worker registration through communication and external stakeholder engagement activities to raise awareness of the Scheme, build capacity and educate the sector on the benefits of registration.
