THE ROLE
The Senior Project and Policy Officer leads the delivery of policy advice, initiatives and programs to support Victoria's unpaid carers.
Reporting to the Manager, Carers Team, the role works across government and with the sector to support implementation of the Victorian Carer Strategy and its priorities, and to provide management, delivery, oversight and quality assurance of the Additional Respite for Carers initiative. This involves leading funding and submission processes, overseeing program engagement and performance of funded providers delivering carer respite through the initiative, collation and analysis of performance data, and engagement with carers, the sector and cross government stakeholders.
The role operates within a complex and dynamic environment that requires capacity to exercise sound judgement, and the ability to proactively develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
Core to being successful will be your experience in high-level project management and policy design or implementation, your ability to understand new subject matter quickly, demonstrate sound initiative, conceptual and analytical capabilities, and produce high-quality products in a timely manner.
