The Commission is an independent statutory body that promotes improvement in policies and practices affecting the safety and wellbeing of Victorian children and young people. It has a particular focus on vulnerable children and young people.

The Senior Project Officer, Priority Projects will report to the Manager, Priority Projects and will facilitate the development
and implementation of a new project management function and support teams across the Commission to achieve internal projects.
In this role you will:
- Support priority internal projects to increase efficiency, timeliness and impact of core functions
- Assit with reporting to the executive team on projects status, risks and issues
- Assist with the development of a project management framework, policies and tools to uplift and embed project management capability across the organisation
- Coach and support teams in project implementation and project methodology
As our ideal candidate, you will:
- Directly work alongside managers to deliver identified internal projects that will increase efficiency, timeliness and impact of core functions across the Commission.
- Work with the CEO and Manager, Projects to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practice that improves efficiency rather than administration burden.
- Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with relevant legislation and government regulations and guidelines.
- Progress the development, design and implementation of the Commission's project management framework.
- Implement standardised project management methodologies, processes, templates, and tools suited to the size
and work of the Commission.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate strategic thinking in planning, design, development and deployment of new processes and identify opportunities for enhancements to existing processes.
- Provide leadership, guidance and authoritative advice to internal stakeholders.
- Work closely and collaborate with staff from across the Commission.
