About the Division
The Academy Services Division provides a range of specialist services to teams across the Academy, and to program participants (potential and current) to ensure high quality professional learning, and an optimal experience for our stakeholders. The Division's four specialist areas include learning design, data evaluation and evidence, communications and marketing, and participant and program support.
About the Role
The Senior Project Officer role within the Evaluation and Evidence Centre (EEC) will ensure the Academy's evaluation and evidence activities align with its legislated objectives, supporting better decision-making and continuous improvement of professional learning programs. The role will lead and manage complex evaluation and research projects, delivering actionable insights that directly impact the Academy's activities. The successful candidate will provide expert advice on program evaluation, build strong stakeholder relationships, and refine the Academy's data and evaluation infrastructure, all while promoting a culture of evidence-informed decision-making across the organisation.
Capabilities
The successful candidate will demonstrate sound project management skills with the ability to support, manage, and lead projects and initiatives, including navigating risks, managing competing priorities, and making informed decisions or recommendations that support successful delivery. They will bring highly developed critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to adapt flexibly to changing priorities and environments. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential to effectively prepare reports, briefs, and presentations, and to articulate project findings and progress to a range of audiences.
The candidate will have a proven ability to build and maintain authentic and collaborative relationships with stakeholders to achieve meaningful outcomes, as well as demonstrated capability to partner with and provide leadership to colleagues in the achievement of key projects and initiatives. They will demonstrate high levels of initiative, accountability, and resilience in managing pressure and delivering results, together with strong organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
The role requires the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment, along with competence in using data and evidence to inform project design, delivery, and evaluation. Proficiency with digital platforms and tools to support project management and collaboration, as well as a commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and contribution to a positive workplace culture, are also required.
