The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Senior Projects Officer to provide a critical role at Corrections Victoria.
About the Business Unit
Community Operations is responsible for the direction, management, and operation of Victoria's Community Correctional Services (CCS) across more than 35 locations. It ensures people subject to CCS supervision are safely managed and aims to rehabilitate individuals by addressing the underlying causes of offending behaviour.
Parole and Court Practice is responsible for providing central end-to-end oversight of the CCS service system and includes the Parole Central Unit (PCU), CCS Practice Development and Review Branch (PDRB), Statewide Community Work and Partnerships (SCWP), System Integrity (SI) and Court Assessment and Prosecutions Services (CAPS) Central Unit.
This position is within the CCS Development Branch within PDRB. The CCS Development Branch oversees several CCS portfolio areas including mental health, family violence and testing in CCS. The Branch is the central coordination point for the revision and reissuing of CCS practice guidance and operational process requirements. It also manages a range of monitoring and reporting activities, along with many ad hoc operational projects that vary in size, complexity and urgency.

The Senior Projects Officer role reports to the Manager, CCS PDRB and provides advice and project management across a range of operational and strategic issues related to the business of CCS.
