About the Branch
The Governance and Corporate Support Branch lead the provision of quality corporate support services and functions (including human resources and occupation health and safety, risk and audit, finance, fleet, accommodation and organisational strategic projects) which enable successful operation of VECRA. In addition, the Governance and Corporate Support Branch is responsible for the oversight, delivery and reporting of the compliance and audit obligations required of a statutory authority.
About the Team
The Governance and Corporate Support team, within the Governance and Corporate Support Branch, is responsible for delivering a broad remit spanning procurement, fleet and accommodation, organisational governance and secretariat support, strategic and business planning, audit and risk, and organisational strategic projects, such as the Annual Report.
The team works closely with leaders across VECRA and the Department of Education providing an important role in connecting VECRA to the broader government environment while continuing to build the systems, processes and practices needed for an effective and mature organisation.
About the Role
The Senior Program and Project Officer role is key supporting the delivery of organisational priorities and projects across the Governance and Corporate Support team, broader branch and VECRA. The role will lead, manage and support a range of strategic, organisational and operational projects, often involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities, and will bring structure and problem solving to working in a new and evolving statutory authority. This role provides an opportunity to work across a broad portfolio and contribute to projects that shape how VECRA operates, while building strong relationships and providing practical support to senior leaders and project stakeholders. Whilst there will be other projects, this role will focus on fleet, accommodation, procurement support, asset management and other workplace projects as well as operational reporting and performance tracking.
