An exciting opportunity exists to join the Biosecurity System and Emergency Policy team as a Senior Project Officer.
This role leads complex policy, preparedness and reform initiatives that strengthen Victoria's biosecurity system and emergency management capability. Working across strategic policy, legislative reform, preparedness activities and national biosecurity initiatives, you will provide high-quality advice on emerging issues and contribute to projects that support Victoria's ability to prevent, prepare for and respond to biosecurity risks.
The role offers significant variety and autonomy, with opportunities to work across government, engage in national forums and contribute to high-profile policy and preparedness initiatives. You will work closely with stakeholders across Agriculture Victoria, the department and other jurisdictions to develop practical solutions to complex policy and operational challenges.
We are seeking a motivated and adaptable professional with strong analytical, communication and project delivery skills. The successful applicant will be comfortable working with ambiguity, managing competing priorities and providing sound advice on complex issues in a dynamic environment.

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street Melbourne or 475-485 Mickleham Road Attwood with hybrid work arrangements available.
