Investment and Technology leads and manages the investment lifecycle; drives commercial advice & negotiations to facilitate reform; and enables core delivery through Finance, Procurement & Enterprise Technology.
Commercial Advisory is a division within Investment and Technology, and works to plan for, design and lead major commercial transactions and deliver commercial and contract management services delivering innovative and value for money outcomes.
About the role
*This is a fixed term opportunity until 22 February 2027
The Senior Project Officer provides contract management and commercial advice for the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre Public Private Partnership, working closely with the Senior Contract Manager. They review payments, manage contract changes, monitor performance and deliverables and prepare advice for senior leaders and ministers. The role works with colleagues across the Department of Transport and Planning and the Department of Treasury and Finance, as well as private partners. By carefully managing risks and ensuring contracts are followed, they help protect public funds and support strong, well-run commercial arrangements that deliver value to the State.
