The Role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Project Officer to drive the delivery of complex projects and initiatives within the TAFE Strategy, Systems and Tertiary Governance Branch. Reporting to the Manager, Marrung Team, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, while managing risks and dependencies. Your role will include providing high-level analysis and advice, preparing project documentation, and engaging with internal and external stakeholders to build strong collaborative partnerships.

About the Team
The TAFE Strategy, Systems and Tertiary Governance Branch provides leadership and system-wide initiatives across the Victorian TAFE Network. The branch drives innovation, reforms, and quality improvements in collaboration with TAFEs, government, and industry. It oversees key education plans, First Nations initiatives, and governance functions for the tertiary sector.
About You
You bring a strategic mindset, exceptional organisational, communication, and negotiation skills, and a proven track record in managing complex projects. You have experience in stakeholder engagement, translating strategies into actionable projects, and delivering tangible outcomes. Your critical thinking, systems awareness, and ability to navigate political and organisational contexts enable you to influence and drive results effectively. Experience working within government and strong project management skills are highly regarded.
