THE ROLE
The Senior Program Officer supports the delivery of departmental and program service coordination for people who are on the post sentence scheme under the Serious Offenders Act 2018. The position will also promotes and assists in the effective management and coordination of the department's accountabilities under the legislation and will work collaboratively across the department, its funded agencies and interdepartmentally to contribute to coordinated services plan, provide education and support to DFFH and Health funded and delivered services. The role plays a key role in facilitating the development of solutions for service access challenges.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Contribute to the full life-cycle of projects to meet departmental objectives, including: analysis and implementation of projects based on defined outcomes and outputs; managing projects or sub-projects and being accountable for their successful delivery and completion within resourcing, timeline and budget parameters; and, monitoring and evaluating projects to ensure departmental objectives are met.
- Provide authoritative advice to internal and external stakeholders and prepare and present detailed reports ministerial briefs, cabinet and agency submissions on complex matters.
- Complete and review Coordinated Services Plans (CSP) consistent with established standards and requirements, including tailored service responses and risk assessment and in line with the requirements set out in the Serious Offenders Act 2018.
