Senior Project Officer
The Role
The Senior Project Officer is part of the Office of the Local Jobs First Commissioner and is responsible for assisting the Commissioner to perform their role and functions. The Senior Project Officer is responsible for coordinating the delivery of a wide variety of projects in the Office of the Local Jobs First Commissioner. This work includes working with government and industry stakeholders to promote the Local Jobs First policy, assist with monitoring compliance on Local Jobs First projects and preparing high-level advice for the Local Jobs First Commissioner, departmental executives and key stakeholders.
The Team
The position of Senior Project Officer forms a part of the Industry Development, Construction, Manufacturing and Talent branch within the Industry, Trade and Investment group.
The Industry, Trade and Investment (ITI) group works closely with businesses locally and globally to grow Victorian jobs, drive innovation and increase Victoria's international competitiveness. ITI champions Victoria as a destination of choice for trade and international investment, international education and innovation. The Industry Development, Construction, Manufacturing and Talent Branch is responsible for shaping and ensuring the delivery of the Victorian Government's industry development agenda.
