Senior Project Officer
The Role
Reporting to the Principal Project Manager, this position is responsible for leading Project teams focused on the delivery of complex high value high risk social infrastructure. The team's key deliverables include the Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre, the Twelve Apostle Precinct Redevelopment, Bendigo Art Gallery and Bendigo Regional Employment Precinct.

The Team
The position of Senior Project Officer forms a part of the Regional Economic Growth and Investment branch within the Regional Development Victoria Group.
The Priority Projects team leads RDV's Project Management Office (PMO) and is responsible for both direct project delivery, administration of the Regional Development Delivery Board (RDDB) and providing enabling services to the group.
The PMO provides specialised service and expertise to the RDV group in its conception, initiation, delivery and closure of programs, projects and other regional economic development initiatives. As part of RDV's Regional Economic Growth and Investment (REGI) branch, the PMO supports whole of RDV governance arrangements for the full lifecycle of investments and provides best practice coaching, tools and resources for regional teams. Importantly, the PMO realises significant economic outcomes by partnering with regional and central RDV teams to deliver more complex initiatives and as required, leads delivery of high value / high risk projects in place.
The team is responsible for the direct delivery of major high value high risk infrastructure projects, including the Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre, Twelve Apostles Precinct Redevelopment, Bendigo Art Gallery and Bendigo Regional Employment Precinct, and driving project management excellence and consistency across the group.
About You
The successful applicant will enjoy flexible working arrangements and undertake a wide variety of activity across the team. Demonstrated experience and extensive knowledge in major social infrastructure project delivery, together with excellence in stakeholder management and communication skills are required for this role.
