THE ROLE
This is a a rewarding opportunity for an experienced construction Senior Project Manager to support project delivery for the Planned Asset Improvements Unit, Asset Management. The Senior Project Manager is a key role in a collaborative team focused on delivering a high volume of upgrade and maintenance work on the government's low-rise public housing properties. The role will require a candidate with extensive experience in all facets of high volume residential refurbishment project management including coordinating procurement processes and contract management, providing authoritative advice, and building strong stakeholder relationships and strong administrative capabilities to deliver key project outcomes.
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the management and delivery of housing upgrade and maintenance projects including procurement and management of multi-disciplinary consultancies involved in design and documentation, and contractors undertaking upgrade and maintenance works in Homes Victoria properties throughout Victoria. The role involves program management including planning and scheduling, procuring and managing consultancy, works, supply and other contracts of various scales to deliver programmed and demand-driven upgrades and maintenance. Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with key stakeholders including Divisional officers, consultants, contractors, renters, external agencies, local government, and departmental staff. A high standard of project co-ordination is required to ensure timely delivery of projects, including robust procurement processes; timely, accurate and professional communications, briefings and responses to enquiries; and budget and cash flow management and reporting.
The role may also involve overseeing day to day management of a VPS 4 Project Manager and providing advice and leadership.
