THE ROLE
The Senior Project Manager will work in a collaborative and innovative team focused on delivering the Government's agenda of increasing access to social and affordable housing for Victorians. The role will require a dynamic, flexible candidate with extensive experience in the residential property market, transactions, property valuations, residential construction and contract management. Leading the acquisition process, this role will undertake the sourcing and evaluation of residential developments and dwellings, coordinate procurement processes and negotiate contracts, including construction contracts, for multiple transactions concurrently. Strong leadership, critical analysis of potential acquisitions against departmental requirements, decisive judgement, and the ability to provide authoritative advice on transactions and property are essential to the role.
In addition, the role is responsible for management of projects, coordination of procurement processes, preparation of a range of communication materials, collaboration with team members across different projects and reporting. The ability to establish and maintain relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders, excellent written communication skills, a high level of attention to detail and the capability to create and maintain accurate records are all fundamental. An understanding of the Victorian Government Transaction Policy and Valuer General Victoria (VGV) framework would be highly regarded..
