THE ROLE
Senior Project Manager
The Senior Project Manager will work in a collaborative and innovative team focused on delivering the Government's agenda of increasing access to social and affordable housing for Victorians. The role will require a dynamic, flexible, high-performance candidate with significant experience in large-scale delivery projects, design management, town planning processes and construction. The role will also require extensive project management experience, building strong stakeholder relationships, experience in providing authoritative advice, preparation of briefs and reports, coordination of procurement processes and construction contract administration to deliver key capital project outcomes.
Are you
- Experienced in coordinating and capturing outcomes and supporting the delivery of large scale, fast-paced social infrastructure projects?
- Able to manage and oversee the full lifecycle of projects (including feasibility, construction and design management, government procurement processes, town planning, tendering and contract administration) with a focus of identifying risks and establishing risk mitigation processes?
- A dynamic team-player with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, committed to delivering outcomes under tight timeframes?
- Proficient in core project management competencies including cost management, programme preparation and tracking, quality and risk management, reporting and compliance management?
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Manage cross-functional delivery of projects impacted by sensitive and complex issues.
- Operate within high level of autonomy and accountability in delivering within broad strategic directions.
- Provide leadership, guidance and advice based on advanced expertise and manage stakeholders through effective negotiation and influence.
- Contribute advanced expertise and knowledge to benefit strategic planning and organisation/sector-wide outcomes.
