About the Department
The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services. The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
About the Division
The Curriculum and Teaching Practice Division (CTPD) is responsible for developing and supporting schools to implement the department's teaching and learning policies and providing curriculum implementation guidance to Victorian government schools.
CTPD draws on contemporary research and practice evidence to develop evidence-based teaching and learning policy reforms, co-design and implement initiatives to support schools to deliver high-quality teaching programs. CTPD has primary responsibility for providing advice and implementation support to government schools to deliver the Victorian Curriculum.

About the Role
An exciting opportunity to join our team and play a key role in implementing Victoria's new approach to reading.
The Literacy Unit is currently seeking a high-performing professional to join our team as a VPS5 Senior Project Officer.
The purpose of the role is to lead and contribute to a range of projects and initiatives through policy development and advice, procurement, stakeholder engagement, project management and budget management.
