About the role:
The Senior Program Officer works within the Commissioning and Performance Management team within the Reform Implementation Unit 2 (Local Services). The unit, within the Reform Implementation Branch, is to focus on the delivery of complex, priority mental health and wellbeing reforms. The initial, priority focus for the unit is the delivery of Mental Health and Wellbeing Locals (often abbreviated to Local Services) – a flagship reform of the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health System and entirely new mental health and wellbeing service stream – however the focus and responsibilities of the unit will evolve over time.
Reporting to the Manager, Commissioning and Performance Management the Senior Program Officer will lead performance oversight of, and engagement with, providers of Mental Health and Wellbeing Locals. The Senior Program Officer will provide advice on delivery risks and mitigations, service improvements and the intersection of other reforms as well as deliver strategic projects and core activities.
To be successful in this role you will be experienced in monitoring the performance of providers or service delivery, and possess excellent communication, problem solving and stakeholder management skills.
The role is suited to individuals who are comfortable working in dynamic environments with multidisciplinary teams and a range of stakeholders.
