The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
About the Division
The Employee Safety, Wellbeing and Inclusion Division (ESWID) is committed to the Department's vision to create healthy and safe working and learning environments for Department employees to thrive and succeed.
ESWID performs its functions through several teams that span from prevention, through to response and recovery, along with strategy, advice and support. These teams adopt a holistic approach for supporting the health, safety and wellbeing of our workforce across schools, central and regional offices. This includes delivery of the Employee Mental Health Reform, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Workers' Compensation policy advice and support, for both physical and mental health and wellbeing. About the Role
The Senior Program Officer, Employee Mental Health and Wellbeing Promotion and Programs, will play a lead role in managing key department employee mental health and wellbeing programs. The Senior Program Officer will promote services to department staff, and lead contract and project management with service providers. The role requires working flexibly and using a continuous improvement approach to work collaboratively across teams. Through building effective relationships, and the Senior Program Officer engages with a variety of stakeholders to deliver services that support employee mental health and wellbeing.
The Employee Mental Health and Wellbeing Promotion and Programs Team manages key department employee mental health and wellbeing programs and provides mental health and wellbeing policy advice, as part of the Employee Mental Health Reform program. The team is responsible for delivering the Reform's promotion of mental health and wellbeing for school and corporate staff, with a particular emphasis on improving uptake of the Employee Wellbeing Support Services and other related employee mental health and wellbeing support services.
