THE ROLE
The role of the Senior Program Officer is to undertake key project management and coordination activities related to the reform of the Children and Families service system. This includes undertaking complex and comprehensive coordination and project support activities under the leadership of the Project Management Office (PMO) Manager.
The role supports the PMO team with project management, coordination, governance, and administrative support work across a range of reform programs that will drive long-term strategic benefits. The position offers an opportunity for a high-performing project management expert to work in a fast-paced environment.
The Senior Program Officer will work within a dynamic and flexible environment that encourages idea generation, from design through to program implementation. With a demonstrated record of achievement in development and management of government programs and complex projects within the Children and Families portfolio, this position will rely on the successful candidate's strong stakeholder management and analytical skills, clear communication expertise and the ability to operate at times with minimal supervision.
