About the Department of Education's Restorative Engagement and School Support Branch
The Restorative Engagement, Information and Support (RESS) Branch is responsible for supporting Victorian government schools and the department respond to current and historical incidents of child sexual abuse by an adult working in a Victorian government school. The Branch has two units:
The Branch manages a variety of functions to support its two work units including the department's counselling assistance payments for current and former students who have experienced child sexual abuse by an adult working in a government school, the branch's case and records management system, and reporting to senior leaders on the work of the branch.
About the Role
The Senior Program Advisor, Restorative Engagement and School Support Branch, will play a critical role leading the establishment and ongoing delivery of the Branch's business systems, records management, reporting, and other operational requirements. The role is responsible for:
The role will also be required to perform other duties to support branch business needs as required.
The role requires demonstrated experience and expertise using multiple information technology platforms, attention to detail, excellent organisation skills and strong written and verbal communication skills. Given the highly sensitive nature of the Branch's work, empathy, resilience and confidentiality are all particularly important traits to bring to the role.
The Senior Program Advisor will work flexibly across the Branch based on capacity and demand, and is expected to contribute to a positive and collaborative workplace culture. The role may also be required to support the work of the broader OPSEC Division on request.
Mandatory Qualifications and Experience
Demonstrated knowledge of various Microsoft software, Salesforce, SharePoint, and similar platforms.
